Danish journalist Kim Bilso Lassen says Greenlanders are relieved after an agreement involving the US, Denmark and Greenland eased fears over sovereignty and military intervention. Speaking to NDTV, Lassen said the deal does not transfer sovereignty to the US and does not give Washington permanent control over Greenland. He added that the arrangement mainly strengthens existing security cooperation, while any new US military facilities would have to be funded by Washington.
