How much sound can insulation actually block? I walked through Rockwool’s Hush Hallway test at IBS to see the real difference. Outside the hallway the noise level was around 75 dB typical loud show floor volume. Step inside the insulated hallway and it dropped to about 48 dB That’s a massive reduction just from insulation doing its job. Then walking back out, the noise jumps right back up again. Seeing the numbers change in real time really shows how much proper insulation can affect sound control in a space.
