Making friends is the next challenge at the School of Yapping, where participants learn that forging connections takes more than knowing what to say. Tayson has always struggled to find his place in social groups. At a volunteering event, he puts the workshop’s three levels of questioning into practice. But an awkward exchange reminds him how easily conversations can go wrong. As he learns to read social cues and accept difficult feedback, Tayson begins to understand that finding the right people may matter as much as learning the right skills. For Juraimi, 32, social anxiety has deep roots. Years of feeling rejected and alone taught him to rely only on himself. But a new friendship challenges that independence, showing him what it means to feel seen and to let someone in. As Tayson and Juraimi navigate friendship, rejection and vulnerability, they begin to realise that connection isn't just about talking to people. It's about finding people that you feel a sense of belonging with.
