Bryan discovers that the awkwardness he feels in conversations is rooted in years of being a victim of bullying. Armed with new techniques from the School of Yapping, he takes his biggest challenge yet: stepping onto a Toastmasters stage and speaking to a room full of strangers. With all eyes on him, Bryan must find the confidence to speak up and confront the fear that has followed him for years. Vashawn, meanwhile, comes across as someone who is good at communicating. But beneath that confidence is a challenge he rarely confronts: approaching new people in a work setting. After the workshop, he puts his new-found skills to the test at a convention. As Bryan and Vashawn put their new skills into practice, they discover that confidence is not simply about knowing how to talk. It is about taking the first step, being willing to be seen and finding the courage to connect with others.
