At the School of Yapping, two dozen youths come together to learn how to communicate better offline and forge stronger real-life connections. Amanda, 31, is an influencer and content creator but being comfortable online does not always translate to being comfortable in person. An introvert, she struggles to find her place in new social settings. At the School of Yapping, she learns to speak with confidence, express herself and even rethink how she dresses. With her new-found skills, Amanda takes on a challenge outside the classroom, attending a social party for influencers, where she must navigate conversations, meet new people and put herself out there. As the participants learn to talk, listen and open up, the School of Yapping becomes more than a workshop. It becomes a space to practise being seen, find confidence and build connections that last beyond the sessions.
