How can you support someone who is grieving? Grief specialist Liz Gleeson says by "showing up." "Being there for the long run, this isn't something that's done and dusted over a couple of weeks," she said. "It's being there as your friend or your loved one adjusts to life again after this significant loss in their lives." Gleeson also noted that you should try not to offer them advice or platitudes. "Anything that begins with 'at least they had a good life' is minimizing the experience," she said.
