Russia has placed the Russian operations of French retailer Auchan and Swiss food giant Nestlé under temporary administration, prompting Marine Le Pen and National Rally president Jordan Bardella to condemn the move as a “hostile act” against French and European interests. The Kremlin says the decision responds to actions by countries it considers “unfriendly,” including sanctions and support for Ukraine. The measure uses a framework introduced by Russia in 2023 and previously applied to Western companies including Danone and Carlsberg. Nestlé said it was assessing the situation and seeking to protect its business interests and employees, while Auchan did not immediately comment. #lepen, #jordanbardella, #putin, #russia, #france, #auchan, #nestle, #ukraine, #russiaukrainewar, #moscow, #nationalrally, #frenchpolitics, #europe, #europeanpolitics, #russiafrance, #sanctions, #geopolitics, #worldnews, #breakingnews In this Times Now World News report, we break down the this topic: St
