Berlin voters delivered a blistering assessment of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz as the capital’s state election got underway. One resident criticised the CDU’s response to rising prices, arguing that demanding longer working hours and restricting part-time employment was not credible social policy. She said the party’s failure to connect with its traditional voters had helped strengthen the AfD and declared that Merz was “definitely not my chancellor.” Another voter accused Merz of making racist and misogynistic remarks and predicted that he would remain in office until the end of his term—not because voters supported him, but because “his ego is a bit too big” for him to resign. #friedrichmerz #germany #berlin #germanelection #cdu #afd #germanpolitics #europe #breakingnews Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
