Iran’s military command claims it has received intelligence that the United States is preparing to resume strikes against the Islamic Republic with assistance from unidentified regional governments. Tehran has warned that any renewed American attack would trigger “continuous, effective and painful” retaliation against U.S. bases and strategic interests across the region. It also says governments permitting their territory, airspace or infrastructure to support Washington would be treated as parties to the conflict. The warning comes after Donald Trump unexpectedly returned to the White House from Camp David and as Iran insists the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until Washington ends military operations, lifts its naval blockade, releases frozen Iranian funds and fulfils earlier commitments. The United States has not confirmed that another operation is being prepared, leaving Tehran’s allegation unverified—but Iran has now made the possible consequences explicit. #iran #unitedstat
