The murder charge against the third man accused of killing Omega Ruston (pictured) has been dropped this morning. The 32-year-old was shot dead in a suspected road rage attack at Burleigh Heads on Australia Day, 2009. The case sat unsolved for over a decade until a cold-case review launched in 2020 led to the arrests of three men, none of whom now face murder charges.
