Pakistan carried out airstrikes Monday on suspected militant hideouts in eastern Afghanistan, claiming 28 militants were killed. Authorities in Kabul says the strikes Monday killed at least three people. The attacks marked a renewed escalation between Pakistan and Afghanistan, raising the prospect of further cross-border hostilities. The British military says a projectile struck a tanker as it entered the Strait of Hormuz. Two crew members sustained minor injuries in Monday’s attack as the ship headed to port under its own power. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack. And CNN, MS NOW and Politico say they’ve notified the Trump administration they’re filing a lawsuit over being denied White House access.
