Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday that NATO was practising the interception of merchant ships and described the alliance as a bloc created for confrontation. Peskov also rejected claims that Russia poses a threat to France or other European countries, while criticising Germany’s decision to stop buying Russian gas and discussing the impact of new U.S. sanctions on Moscow and its trading partners. His remarks come amid continuing tensions between Russia, NATO and European governments over the war in Ukraine, energy supplies and Western sanctions. #russia #putin #peskov #nato #russiaukrainewar #ukrainewar #natoalliance #russiawarns #natoalert #merchantships #shipinterception #germany #afd #russiangas #germanyeconomy #trump #sanctions #eu #europe #geopolitics Stay connected with Times Now World for real-time global news and analysis: 🌐 Read full coverage: https://www.timesnownews.com/world 📱 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/timesnow.world
