Fighting has intensified in Yemen's Taiz Governorate, with government forces repelling a large-scale Houthi assault on the Jabal Jardan front, inflicting casualties and losses on Houthi fighters. Clashes have also escalated in the Kahboub Mountains, overlooking the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait and Mayyun Island. Since seizing Mocha port and Mayyun Island, Houthi forces have sought to advance further, aiming to secure their rear positions along Yemen's western coast.
