A fire broke out at a textile factory in Foshan, in China’s southern Guangdong province, on Sunday, September 20, killing eight people and injuring one, state news agency Xinhua reported on Monday. Eyewitness video showed thick smoke rising from the factory after the fire. Reuters verified the location by matching buildings, trees and the surrounding road layout with file and satellite images. The date was also confirmed through state-owned media and other footage posted online. Search-and-rescue operations are still underway, Xinhua said. Authorities have not yet provided details on what caused the fire. --- China Factory Fire | Foshan Factory Fire | Foshan Fire | Guangdong Factory Fire | Textile Factory Fire | Firstpost #chinafactoryfire #foshanfire #foshan #guangdong #chinafire #textilefactory #factoryfire #firstpost Firstpost is an Indian news and media website.
