Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are expected to meet in Washington as artificial intelligence emerges as a major new front in the U.S.-China rivalry. The talks come amid growing concerns over AI safety, cyberattacks, political misinformation and the risks of increasingly powerful AI systems. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Washington and Beijing discussed creating a mechanism for AI dialogue and proposed a notification system for AI incidents that could affect national security. With China narrowing the technology gap with the United States, the Trump-Xi meeting could highlight both the possibilities for cooperation and the deep strategic competition surrounding artificial intelligence. #trump #xi jinping #uschina #ai #artificialintelligence #aisafety #china #usa #technology #aitechnology #aigovernance #cybersecurity #geopolitics #trumpxi #uschinarelations #nationalsecurity #washington #beijing Stay connected with Times Now World for real-time global news and
