China’s first dedicated robot traffic police squad has returned to the streets of Hangzhou after a major upgrade, with the machines now equipped with improved positioning, autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance and route-planning capabilities. Footage released on September 21 shows the robots directing traffic and pedestrians alongside human officers at busy intersections in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. Authorities said the 15-strong squad, which began operations in May, has delivered more than 11,000 public services and issued over 230,000 traffic-violation reminders. The upgraded robots can also adjust patrol durations according to real-time traffic conditions as China expands the use of autonomous technology in public services. #china #hangzhou #robotpolice #robotcops #aitraffic #artificialintelligence #robotics #chinacities #smartcity #technology #futuretechnology #trafficpolice #autonomousrobots #chinavideo #technews #worldnews #innovation #robotrevolution Stay connected with
