BJP national media co-convener and spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari addressed a press conference in New Delhi, questioning the inclusion of Sonia Gandhi’s name in the 1980 electoral roll. Bhandari cited a recent Rouse Avenue Court order that set aside a magistrate’s refusal to entertain a plea seeking an FIR over the alleged voter-roll inclusion before Sonia Gandhi acquired Indian citizenship in 1983. The court directed that the matter be considered afresh; the next hearing is scheduled for September 29.
