Ancient clay tablets from Mesopotamia contain some of humanity's oldest written stories, and among them are strange accounts of powerful beings said to have descended from the heavens. Found within libraries created by the Sumerians and later civilizations, these texts describe mysterious figures associated with knowledge, construction, astronomy, and the foundations of civilization itself. Historians view these accounts as mythology, while others argue they may preserve distorted memories of real events that occurred thousands of years ago. Whatever the truth may be, the stories continue to fascinate researchers because they reveal how ancient people tried to explain the origins of their world and the forces they believed shaped human history. This video explores the mysterious sky beings described in ancient Mesopotamian texts, what the tablets actually say, and why these stories remain some of the most debated legends ever recorded.
