"I will be fearful if the cause I am fighting for gets endangered, not if my life gets endangered." Vidyanand Bapat, the Pune resident who took on loudspeakers, DJs, and festival noise pollution, and was publicly slapped for it, explains to TOI why he refuses to be intimidated. He breaks down why attacking him personally instead of his argument is a logical fallacy ("shooting the messenger"), why he believes people have grown too tolerant of public nuisance, and why he insists the conversation stay on the issue, not on him.
