What would happen if a giant asteroid slammed into the United States? Scientists have already modeled the devastating chain of events, from a blinding fireball and continent-wide shockwaves to tsunamis, climate collapse, and years of global consequences. The size, speed, and impact location could determine whether it's a regional disaster or a planet-changing catastrophe. Some asteroids have enough energy to erase entire cities in seconds, while larger ones could trigger effects felt across the entire Earth. Watch until the end to see which U.S. locations would face the greatest danger and how close humanity really is to the next major impact.
