Labour MP Graham Stringer launches a blistering attack on his own Government’s proposed Chagos Islands agreement, branding it a “crackers deal” and challenging supportive Labour MPs to put it on their election literature. Stringer, one of only three Labour MPs he says voted against the agreement, argues that the Chagossian people have been ignored and urges Andy Burnham to consign the policy to the “deep, long grass”. He also calls for migrants arriving without documentation to be taken to British overseas territories while their cases are assessed, warning that Burnham must confront the Channel crisis and “stand up and be a leader”. #ChagosIslands #AndyBurnham #GrahamStringer Have you got a story?
