Apple is reportedly prototyping a screenless fitness tracker similar to Whoop, as it looks to expand beyond the Apple Watch and compete in the health-focused wearables market. In this video Firstpost explains how the device, still unconfirmed and possibly years away, would use sensors to track metrics like heart rate, sleep and recovery, sending data to a redesigned Health app on iPhone. By dropping the screen, Apple aims to offer a lighter, less distracting band for 24/7 wear, including sleep, while saving battery. The project ties into new software features like Readiness Score and Health Age, and could leverage Apple Intelligence and Siri to turn raw data into summaries and suggestions, blending a simple fitness band with Apple’s AI ecosystem. 00:01 — Apple’s Screenless Fitness Tracker 00:24 — Why Apple Wants to Compete With Whoop 01:13 — The Growing Health Wearables Market 01:42 — What Could Apple’s Tracker Look Like? 01:57 — Why Go Screenless? 02:22 — Apple’s Push Into Healt
