President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are meeting at the White House, with trade, artificial intelligence, Iran and Taiwan among the major issues on the agenda. The talks come after the U.S. and China agreed to extend a fragile trade truce for another two months. Pakistan says it carried out airstrikes on 10 sites in Afghanistan it claims were used to launch drone attacks. Afghan officials say four civilians were killed and have vowed to respond as escalating fighting threatens international mediation efforts. And a federal judge has temporarily blocked the Trump administration’s ban on CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House. The judge ordered the outlets’ access restored for 14 days while their lawsuit proceeds. The organizations argue the ban violated their First Amendment rights.
