Several delegations walked out during speeches by Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at the UN General Assembly on September 22 and 23. Israel’s delegation left during Erdogan’s speech after he urged countries to recognise Palestine. Cuba’s delegation and most of Iran’s delegation walked out during President Donald Trump’s address after he criticised Cuba and spoke about his options on Iran. The next day, an American official walked out during Pezeshkian’s speech as he accused the US of supplying weapons used against Iran. The walkouts came ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s UN address on Thursday, where similar protests were seen last year as delegations left the hall while he approached the podium. --- UNGA 2026 | UN General Assembly | Donald Trump | Recep Tayyip Erdogan | Masoud Pezeshkian | Benjamin Netanyahu | UNGA Walkout | Israel Palestine | Iran US Tensions | Firstpost #unga2026 #ungeneralasse
