Chinese President Xi Jinping announced on Thursday that two giant pandas, Ping Ping and Fu Shuang, would arrive at Zoo Atlanta within days, during his state visit to Washington and meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump. Xi described the arrival as “good news” and said the pandas would meet the American public. He also invited 100,000 young Americans to visit China for exchanges and study over the next five years. Xi and his wife, Peng Liyuan, were welcomed by Trump and First Lady Melania Trump at the White House, where talks were expected to focus on trade, critical minerals, artificial intelligence and global conflicts. The announcements came as Xi made his first state visit to Washington in more than a decade. #xijinping #trump #trumpxi #trumpxisummit #pandadiplomacy #giantpandas #pandas #pingping #fushuang #atlantazoo #zooatlanta #china #usa #chinausrelations #uschinarelations #chinaupdate #trumpnews #chinanews #worldnews #breakingnews #geopolitics #whitenhouse #chinamerica #pan
