Dozens of protesters, including actor Susan Sarandon, were detained outside the United Nations headquarters in New York after staging a sit-in against U.S. arms supplies to Israel during the UN General Assembly. Organisers said the protest was timed ahead of Benjamin Netanyahu's speech. Separately, pro-Palestinian demonstrators marched through Manhattan carrying Palestinian flags and anti-war banners, demanding Netanyahu's arrest while stressing opposition to Israel's government rather than Jewish people. #SusanSarandon #Netanyahu #UNGA #UnitedNations #NewYork #Gaza #Palestine #Israel #ProPalestine #JewishVoiceForPeace #Manhattan #NYCProtests #GazaWar #BreakingNews #WorldNews #UNGeneralAssembly #MiddleEast #PoliceDetentions #PalestinianFlags #Protest Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
