Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and TVK president C. Joseph Vijay is set to campaign in Madurantakam ahead of the October 6 Assembly bypoll. Vijay is scheduled to address a public meeting in Acharapakkam in support of TVK candidate K. Maragatham Kumaravel. The bypoll was necessitated after Kumaravel, who won the seat on an AIADMK ticket in the 2026 Assembly election, resigned as MLA and joined TVK.
