Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has called on Britain and other European governments to abandon what Tehran describes as a “destructive and irresponsible” approach toward Iran. Speaking after meeting UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, Araghchi blamed the escalating insecurity in the region and around the Strait of Hormuz on what Iran calls US and Israeli “military aggression,” along with European support. Araghchi also linked lasting regional stability to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, while accusing some European governments of interference in Iran’s internal affairs and of using human rights issues as political leverage. The meeting comes amid heightened tensions involving Iran, Israel, the United States, Europe and the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. #iran #iranwar #araghchi #abbasaraghchi #straithormuz #hormuz #irancrisis #middleeast #israel #usiran #uk #britain #europe #mideast #geopolitics #irannews #middl
