Manchester City have been found guilty of 114 of the 115 charges brought by the Premier League over breaches of its financial rules. It is a decision that, if upheld, would equate to one of the biggest scandals in football history. City face a range of sanctions from a fine to points deductions and even expulsion from the Premier League. Or a combination of all, under rule W51 of its handbook. No punishment has yet been announced. If the verdict is upheld, with City expected to appeal, it will also raise questions marks over the 20 trophies the club have won under Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, whose Abu Dhabi group took over in 2008. The charges can be broken down into five categories and relate to a period from 2009-23 in which City won six League Cups, three FA Cups, seven league titles and the Champions League. There is the provision for removing past titles, but that would appear remote. #manchestercity #charges #football #news #mancity #mancitynews Read more:
