Finland and Sweden scrambled Quick Reaction Alert fighter jets to intercept and identify a Russian military formation over the Gulf of Finland on September 24, marking the first joint operational identification mission by the two Nordic air forces. Finnish F/A-18 Hornets and Swedish JAS 39 Gripens tracked a Russian Tu-134 transport aircraft, MiG-31 fighters and Su-30 fighters operating in international airspace. The operation highlights deeper Nordic and NATO air-defence cooperation as tensions remain high across the Baltic Sea region. #finland #sweden #russia #nato #balticsea #gulfoffinland #russianjets #mig31 #su30 #gripen #f18 #natoalert #airforce #military #ukrainewar #europe #baltic #geopolitics #timesnowworld Stay connected with Times Now World for real-time global news and analysis: 🌐 Read full coverage: https://www.timesnownews.com/world 📱 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/timesnow.world 🐦 Follow us on X: https://x.com/TimesNow_World #timesnowworld #worldnews #breaki
