EA Sports FC 27 reviewed by Andrew McMahon on PS5 Pro, also available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. "EA Sports FC 27 is a game caught between two competing directions. The revamped passing and crossing, deeper Career Mode systems, and greater emphasis on strategy give more meaningful control and reflect the improvements that help build on the series’ strongest foundations. At the same time, those improvements are repeatedly undermined by inconsistent CPU behavior, lingering defensive issues, technical problems, slow menus, and an open-world hub that is disconnected from what fans want from a virtual soccer experience. So while the soccer itself is enjoyable, the series is still searching for the right balance between innovation and making the core game work the way it should."
