Dozens of activists, including some politicians and celebrities, blocked First Avenue at 39th Street in protest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaking to the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday. People stood and sat in the street, linked arms and blocked traffic. Their shirts read "No war, no ICE, free Palestine." The NYPD detained several people. Closer to the United Nations at 47th Street and First Avenue, differing opinions were voiced within the Jewish community about Netanyahu's speech to the General Assembly. #NY1 #NYC #News #BenjaminNetanyahu #UN -------- For more on this and the latest NYC news: http://specne.ws/axVX6V Watch live news: http://specne.ws/YTliveSN Get the Spectrum News App on all your favorite devices: http://specne.ws/GetSNApp2
