Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin delivered a strong address at the 81st United Nations General Assembly, saying the international community has “failed Palestine” and warning that the full truth about the suffering in Gaza will “shame the world.” Martin also criticised Israeli settlement expansion and said the prospect of a two-state solution was being undermined. He called for Israel and a future Palestinian state to live side by side in peace, security and dignity. In this video, we explain Martin’s remarks on Gaza, his criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s position on Palestinian statehood, and his wider UNGA message on the Middle East. #MichealMartin #Ireland #Netanyahu #BenjaminNetanyahu #Gaza #GazaWar #Palestine #Israel #UNGA #UNGA2026 #UnitedNations #IsraelPalestine #TwoStateSolution #GazaCrisis #MiddleEast ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- News that speaks your language – Onein
