Saudi Arabia is facing a fresh security challenge as Iran-backed Houthis launch missile and drone attacks, including an attempted strike on Riyadh. Saudi authorities have reported intercepting Houthi missiles and drones amid a sharp escalation in the Yemen conflict. At the same time, a US intelligence assessment provided to Congress reportedly says Saudi Arabia has not ruled out developing nuclear weapons. The assessment comes as Washington and Riyadh pursue a civil nuclear cooperation deal that could allow Saudi Arabia to enrich uranium up to 20% under certain conditions. The agreement is currently under congressional review, with some US lawmakers raising concerns that Saudi Arabia's nuclear capabilities could fuel a wider West Asian arms race. --- Saudi Arabia Alert | Riyadh Alert | Al Kharj Alert | Saudi Civil Defense | Riyadh Danger Alert | Saudi Missile Alert | Saudi Arabia News | Riyadh Breaking News | Middle East Tensions | Gulf Crisis | Saudi Arabia Houthis | Firstpost #sa
