Pope Leo XIV arrived in Lourdes, southern France, on Saturday and began his pilgrimage with prayer at the Grotto of the Apparitions, one of the Catholic Church’s most visited shrines. The pope greeted crowds before kneeling in prayer, lighting a candle and joining worshippers at the site associated with reported Marian apparitions to Bernadette Soubirous in 1858. Leo is scheduled to meet French bishops and celebrate an outdoor Mass at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes on Sunday, before meeting sick people and survivors of sexual abuse by Catholic personnel. #popeleoXIV #popeleo #lourdes #france #catholicchurch #catholic #lourdesfrance #lourdessanctuary #popeinlourdes #bernardettesoubirous #marianapparition #immaculateconception #catholicpilgrimage #popefrance #vatican #christianity #faith #prayer #catholicnews #timesnowworld Stay connected with Times Now World for real-time global news and analysis: 🌐 Read full coverage: https://www.timesnownews.com/world 📱 Instagram: https://ww
