Saudi Arabia is calling on the United Nations to take stronger action to protect freedom of navigation amid reported disruptions involving Iran and Houthi forces in key Middle Eastern waterways. Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan warned that attempts to block or use vital maritime routes as political pressure could threaten regional stability and global energy security. Riyadh is demanding the restoration of normal conditions in the Strait of Hormuz and emphasizing the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz, Bab al-Mandab Strait, Red Sea and Gulf of Aden open to international shipping. The warning comes as tensions surrounding Iran, the Houthis and critical energy routes continue to raise concerns over oil and gas supplies and global maritime security. #SaudiArabia #SaudiFM #FaisalBinFarhan #UN #UnitedNations #Iran #Houthis #StraitOfHormuz #Hormuz #BabAlMandab #RedSea #GulfOfAden #MaritimeSecurity #FreedomOfNavigation #GlobalEnergySecurity #OilSecurity #MiddleE
