Prime Minister Andy Burnham has ruled out an early general election, giving the opposition parties more time to make their case before the next vote. Reform UK, meanwhile, is facing a tighter polling contest after a survey put it level with the Conservatives and behind Labour. Nigel Farage now faces questions about how to broaden Reform’s support beyond its existing voters. The party must also contend with Conservative competition and the prospect of tactical voting in seats where it hopes to win. Peter Barnes argues that Reform needs a clearer strategy and should focus on winning over voters rather than attacking its rivals on the right. Alex Phillips speaks with Peter Barnes, political commentator. Have you got a story?
