Tension escalated at Lovely Professional University in Phagwara after an unverified claim about the alleged rape of a female student triggered protests on campus. The protest later spread to NH-44 and turned violent, with police reporting stone and bottle throwing and damage to vehicles and university property. LPU denied the rape allegation, calling it false and fabricated. Police registered an FIR against unknown persons and formed a Special Investigation Team to investigate the claims. Classes at the university have been suspended for ten days, while mid-term examinations have been postponed. Thank you for watching our video!
