Talk Description: We spend much of our lives learning how to fit in. But somewhere along the way, we forget to ask where we actually want to go. Going Against the Flow is a reflection on conformity, individuality, and the quiet courage to question what we have accepted as normal. Through simple moments and a personal journey of choosing Literature over the expected path, Dr. Vishal Pandya asks a deeper question: Are we living by choice—or simply following the current? Perhaps going against the flow is not about swimming in the opposite direction. Perhaps it is about finding your own. Dr. Vishal Pandya is a Professor of English and Head of the Department of English at Government Arts and Commerce College, Palitana, Gujarat. With 12 years of experience in higher education, he works at the intersection of literature, language, cinema and contemporary thought. He serves as IQAC Coordinator and as a Core Team Member of the NAAC Cell, Government of Gujarat, and is a member of the Board
