Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev has fired back at Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski after Sikorski said Poland has been fighting Russia since before the United States existed and would not surrender if attacked. Medvedev countered that the claim was only true “to some extent,” adding that Poland had “lost every time,” while invoking 1612, the Partitions of Poland and World War II. Medvedev also launched a personal attack on Sikorski, calling him a “poorly educated British vassal” and accusing him of learning history from the Anglo-Saxons. The exchange has turned competing versions of Polish-Russian history into a sharp political confrontation amid heightened tensions between Warsaw and Moscow. #medvedev, #sikorski, #russia, #poland, #russiapoland, #russiaukraine, #geopolitics, #worldnews, #breakingnews, #dmitrymedvedev, #radoslawsikorski, #nato, #europe, #europeanews, #russianews, #polandnews, #politics, #internationalnews, #1612, #wwii In this Times
