Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov has made a striking claim about India’s rise on the global stage, saying that as India becomes stronger and eventually emerges as a superpower, the United States would “do everything possible to contain India.” Speaking at the NDTV Defence Summit 2026, Alipov also referred to what he described as a “Freudian slip” by a senior US official at the Raisina Dialogue and linked his argument to Washington’s pressure over India’s economic and energy ties with Russia. Watch the Russian envoy’s remarks on India’s growing global influence, US-India relations and the changing geopolitical balance. #DenisAlipov #IndiaUS #IndiaRussia #Russia #UnitedStates #Geopolitics #India #NDTVDefenceSummit #NDTVProfit For more videos subscribe to our channel: https://www.youtube.com/@NDTVProfitIndia Visit NDTV Profit for more news: https://www.ndtvprofit.com/ Don't enter the stock market unaware.
