Warning: distressing themes discussed in this video. In 2024, this mother was informed by Blue Ribbon staff of concerns there had been an alleged sexual assault on her son during the night by a fellow resident who was meant to have 2 staff with him at all times, but was left with one. She feared for her son’s safety and wanted him moved to another home, but her son was forced to live in the same home with his alleged attacker for another 10 months. A spokesperson for Blue Ribbon Healthcare also said, "We are committed to communicating openly and transparently with families and to learning and continuous improvement. We will always investigate fully any issues relating to their care, involving the appropriate statutory authorities and seek to resolve them."
