Five men were arrested near RAF Fairford after police received a report of three suspicious vehicles travelling towards the airbase. Counter Terrorism Policing is investigating, while a cordon was placed around the vehicles and nearby households were evacuated as the Army examined them. The restrictions have disrupted local residents and farmers. Some people in the area believe they saw more than five individuals near the scene, although those accounts have not been verified. Police have confirmed five arrests and said they believe the incident is contained. Reporting from near Fairford, Alex Phillips describes the concerns she has heard from residents and asks whether the continuing restrictions point to unanswered questions about the incident.
