Prime Minister Andy Burnham has put plans for a National Care Service at the heart of Labour’s agenda, but questions remain over how it would be funded and whether changes to the pensions triple lock could help cover the cost. Lord Redwood joins Julia Hartley-Brewer to explain why he believes Burnham’s proposal is a “complete joke”. The former Conservative Cabinet minister argues that the Prime Minister has failed to produce a credible plan, warns that reform could require higher taxes and says Labour risks causing itself enormous political damage. #welfare #economy #andyburnham Have you got a story?
