Israel has commissioned its largest submarine yet, the INS Drakon, after a 23-day voyage from Germany to Haifa. The new vessel is designed to stay underwater longer, carry more weapons and operate with greater stealth, adding a new dimension to Israel’s naval capabilities. Its arrival comes as Israel faces tensions with Iran and a growing maritime standoff with Türkiye. Built in Germany decades after the Holocaust, the submarine also carries deep historical and political symbolism for both countries.Cary Johnston brings you the details on Firstpost America. 00:00 – Introduction: Israel Inducts New Submarine INS Drakon (Dracon) 00:27 – Specifications & Advanced AIP Capabilities 01:05 – Message to Iran & Force Building Strategy 01:30 – Naval Standoff with Turkey in the Mediterranean 02:24 – Strategic Significance & Historic Germany Ties 02:55 – Sea Trials, Regional Delays & Arrival in Haifa 03:41 – Coming Up: US Midterm Elections Coverage --- INS Drakon Submarine | IDF Submarines | T
