SpaceX's Starship mission has come to a dramatic end after it caught alight and exploded during a controlled splashdown in the Pacific. The next-generation rocket reached orbit for the first time yesterday, deploying the first batch of new Starlink satellites. The rocket launched from Texas in its 14th flight since 2023, as Elon Musk's company works toward putting the vehicle into routine use later this year.
