Using a Lighter to Detect HVAC Furnace Issues

In this video I show an easy way to check if the heat exchanger on your gas furnace has a crack or a hole in it. Using a flame test, you can find out if your heat exchanger is compromised or not. I also go over various scenarios where this method of checking would not work very well and give some tips of other things to look out for. I show a demonstration of this test using a high efficiency furnace which did not have a bad primary heat exchanger.
