Inspired by Shenzhen's "Measuring Tape Guy" – a man who went viral for spotting problems around the city – Yueyang County authorities in central China's Hunan Province launched a pilot WeChat tool called "Report It" this year. Residents snap photos of city snags and upload them through the platform. Staff then work to sort out the issue within a set time, earning the team the nickname "Measuring Tape Department." By the end of September, the team had resolved 358 issues reported. #MyCityMySay 📺 Subscribe to our YouTube channel and stay updated with our latest analysis and interviews:👇 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgrNz-aDmcr2uuto8_DL2jg 👈 Download our APP on Apple Store (iOS): https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cctvnews-app/id922456579?l=zh&ls=1&mt=8 Download our APP on Google Play (Android): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.imib.cctv For more: https://news.cgtn.com/news/2026-09-29/-Measuring-Tape-Department-fixes-358-city-snags-in-Yueyang-1QPW6A0KgBW/p.html
