External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has warned that the world could face a “major food crisis” in the coming months amid disruptions to grain shipments, significant fertiliser shortages and the threat of a super El Niño. Jaishankar pointed to difficulties in moving grain through the Black Sea and pressures on fertiliser production in Russia and the Middle East. He also highlighted the wider squeeze from energy and finance, arguing that these shocks are placing particular stress on countries in the Global South. His warning comes as he highlights a broader “4F crisis” involving food, fuel, fertiliser and finance. #Jaishankar #FoodCrisis #SuperElNino #FoodSecurity #GlobalSouth #GrainShortage #Fertiliser #UNGA #WorldNews For more videos subscribe to our channel: https://www.youtube.com/@NDTVProfitIndia Visit NDTV Profit for more news: https://www.ndtvprofit.com/ Don't enter the stock market unaware.
