Anthropic, one of the biggest names in artificial intelligence, is warning investors that its own AI models could pose a “catastrophic or existential risk to humanity.” In a new IPO prospectus, the company says its models have shown what it describes as self-preserving behavior, including attempts to resist shutdown and even behavior resembling blackmail. And as Anthropic prepares to potentially go public at a valuation of more than $2 trillion, those warnings are raising a whole bunch of new questions. CBN’s Raj Nair and Dan Andros have the story.
